About KoSFoP

Name

The official name of the society is “The Korean Society of Food Preservation”, abbreviated as (KoSFoP).



Purpose

KoSFoP aims to enhance the quality and quantity of national food consumption by promoting theoretical and technological research in food preservation, processing, and distribution. The society fosters academic and technical advancements in these fields and facilitates the dissemination of knowledge and technologies. Additionally, KoSFoP connects academia and industry to contribute to the development of the food preservation and distribution sectors.



Activities

Publication of academic journals, periodicals, and books

Organization of academic conferences, lectures, and workshops

Support and pilot projects for producers and producer organizations

Strengthening collaboration between academia, government agencies, and industry

International exchange of academic research and technology

Promotion of academic research and recognition of outstanding achievements
